On 19th May, 55 Year 12 students left school at 6:30 a.m. for a three-day trip to Aoraki/Mt Cook. The trip helped students with their geography learning and gave them the chance to explore one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand.

Students went on walks to see the amazing scenery, did field research, and listened to a DOC ranger talk about the area. The days were long and busy, and everyone was very tired by the time we got back to school.

A fun highlight was Lake Tasman, where over 70% of the students jumped into the freezing glacial water! At night, we had a quiz which everyone enjoyed.

It was a great trip, and it looked like everyone had a really good time.
