It has been a busy term 2 for the Building class, continuing with the bus shelter project. The term started with completing the foundation and pole structure. We then moved onto the roof structure. This involved getting all the heights set up to the correct levels for the roof and completing the roof framing elements. The main structure is now in place and ready for the roofing iron to be positioned in term 3. We have also completed digging a trench for laying cables for a security camera to be positioned.

The students have worked hard and made a neat job of the roof framing. A particular highlight for many was setting up scaffolding to ensure we could work safely at heights. We have had several wet weather days that have delayed the outside work, so this has been a chance to complete some of the theory work required.
