Partway through the term, we had a mix of year 10 and 9 students go to Beststart Kaiapoi to lend them a hand with their garden. Lockie Pullen, Millie Herewini, Chloe Green, Lucas Cattermole, and Zihara Large worked hard across the morning to woodchip most of the garden. Lockie and Lucas were superstars and managed to redistribute a very large pile of woodchips across the place. The gardens looked amazing once they were done. It was really nice seeing the students being able to give back to their community, as well as gaining some insight into what it is like to be a kindergarten teacher.
