This month, we hosted a special group of students from Lida Middle School in China. Our visitors spent time engaging with KHS students and experiencing school life in North Canterbury. Some of our Kaiapoi High School head students went the extra mile, showing the visitors around and introducing them to traditional Kiwi favourites, like chocolate fish and butter chicken pies!
These connections allowed students from both schools to form meaningful new friendships. Before departing Christchurch, one Lida Middle School student left this touching message for one of our student leaders:
“Brother O, you are awesome! Thank you so much for showing me around Kaiapoi High School. It is my honour to know you and be your friend. Thank you!”
