On Sunday, 24th August, the Kaiapoi Senior Theatresports team competed in the Court Theatre’s Canterbury Regional Theatresports competition. The week before, we competed in the first heat and won the round, going to the semi-finals. We competed against Cashmere, Christ’s College, and Riccarton. A big congratulations to Christ’s College and Riccarton High for getting into the South Island finals.
Our team is made up of amazing people from our Theatresports group – Azaria Westeneng, Evangeline Arthur, Bianca Jarden, Josh Metzger, Maia van Arendok, and Zander Moffat. Unfortunately, Josh and Azaria couldn’t make it to the semi-finals, so we are so thankful to Talula Green for stepping in for them. The competition went very well; the other teams were all so amazing.

These games were quite strong for our team, and we definitely had fun playing them, especially in front of an audience.
Our team did so well, and I loved performing with my amazing peers.
