Our winter sports are well underway, and it is great to see the amount of participation, improvement, and enjoyment each week
Wednesday Sport will continue into Term 3 with the same sports and existing teams. All sport starts back again the first week back, with the exception of Small Bore and Archery, starting week 2.
Sport Coaches/Referees/Umpires
Thank you to the students who have helped out with the primary school’s Friday winter sports competition. Although the weather was not kind, with many cancelled weeks, our local schools have been very thankful for our students’ help. You have all done a great job, and we have received some really nice feedback, which is always great to hear.
This year, our local primary schools were lucky enough to have a massive group of 22 student sport coaches/referees/umpires.
Senior A Girls’ Basketball Team Farewell
This term, we welcomed exchange student Lise Boucherand from France into our Senior A Girls’ Basketball Team. Lise was keen to get involved and made the most of the opportunity to experience School Basketball in NZ.
While her time with us has been short, we hope it’s been memorable and that she leaves with great memories of Kaiapoi High School and the team.
We wish you safe travels home Lise, and all the best for the future.
