Sheilah Winn Shakespeare in Schools Festival – 2026.
This year, we have three brilliant teams of thespians entered in the 2026 SGCNZ Victoria University of Wellington Sheilah Winn Shakespeare in Schools Festival.
We have entered a 15-minute scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, student-directed by Braedyn McHugh, a 5-minute scene from Othello, student-directed by Bianca Jarden, and a 5-minute scene from Macbeth, student co-directed by Maya Pradhan and Emelia Coster.
Our wonderful thespians have been rehearsing at lunchtimes, after school and/or some Saturday afternoons for the last few weeks. We are entered in the Canterbury ki te Tonga festival, which is on at St Margaret’s College on THIS SATURDAY, 28th March, starting at 9am.
We welcome all friends, family, and Kaiapoi locals to watch the festival performances, as students across Christchurch will perform. Tickets can be purchased at the door (St Margaret’s College) for $5 each.
