It has been a busy start to the year for the Building course students. We have started the year completing the safety paperwork and a concreting project. To create better use of the building yard, we have poured a foundation/ floor slab to be able to utilise the area for building work. This has been a valuable learning experience for the class, and some good hard work to start the year. The foundation has been designed similar to a garage foundation, so there have been significant building skills and knowledge developed.
It has been pleasing to see the students developing good working skills and thinking about how to make sure they are working safely.
