During the recent school holidays, our leadership team had the incredible honour of participating in an educational study tour to China, organized by the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. This was a significant opportunity for Kaiapoi High School to strengthen its international ties and bring global best practices back to our own classrooms.

A major highlight of the trip was a keynote address delivered by our Deputy Principal. Speaking to an international audience, he shared the unique strengths of the New Zealand education system and how Kaiapoi High School operates as a heart for our local community. It was a proud moment to showcase how we serve our students and whānau on a global stage.

The experience was truly phenomenal. Our team was joined by a wider Canterbury delegation, allowing for rich collaboration with other educational leaders from across our region. Together, they explored how international perspectives can be used to improve outcomes for all New Zealand students.

At Kaiapoi High School, we are committed to being an internationally proactive school. This tour was about: Learning from others; Adopting different strategies; Continuous Improvement to better serve our students.

By connecting with the world, we ensure that a Kaiapoi High School education remains forward-thinking, inclusive, and globally competitive.
