Volleyball Nationals:
It’s been a big year for our Senior Boys’ Volleyball Team.
After months of training, they started the year playing in the Premier Boys Grade in the interschool Monday competition, playing in the Mainland Tournament, followed by the Canterbury Champs, with their main goal of playing at the Secondary Schools’ Nationals in Palmerston North.
The Nationals took place during Summer Tournament Week, and what an experience this was for our boys. With five days of Volleyball and 100 boys’ teams across all grades, this was an unforgettable experience and, hopefully, it will be a memory that they will all carry with them long after their school days.
We are very proud of how the team has represented our school and they had some great results over the week, which was awesome. Well done boys.
A BIG thank you to Coach, Will Baxter (staff), for being an important part in making these opportunities possible. Also, thank you to Ian Thomas – Manager for all of your help and hard work during the tournament.
Volleyball Junior A Girls:
Our Junior Girls’ A Team has had a busy term filled with opportunities, playing in several tournaments, which has helped to develop their skills and grow as a team.
Starting with the Canterbury Champs, then the SISS Satellite Tournament during Summer Tournament Week, and finishing off their term 1 of Volleyball playing in the Eastern Clubs Tournament over the weekend. They finished the tournament undefeated, which was a great result.
Another big thank you to Will Baxter (staff) for the time and energy that you give to these Volleyball teams, and also to Thalia Wilkin (staff) for your time, and your weekends which have been dedicated to our students. It is greatly appreciated.
