Term 2 has been another busy term for our Kī-o-Rahi teams.
Our senior Kī-o-Rahi team went to a whakataetae out at Lincoln High School last Sunday. They had a great day and finished with a very close game at the end – only going down by one point in the last 10 seconds. Te Ata-Harmony Burnes received the tournament award for Rookie of the Tournament, which was a great achievement. This tournament was also used for selectors from the Waihora Kī-o-Rahi club to select players for the National Tournament in January.
Our junior Kī-o-Rahi team had a game against Rangiora High School last Thursday, which was a huge success. Rangiora made the trip to our Kura, and we had a great game. There were lots of opportunities for whanaungatanga and for the students to improve their game. We are hoping to head to Rangiora at the end of the term for another game.
