We have two co-curricular dance groups running this year, where junior and senior students will learn a collection of dance sequences in various styles, with a number of students keen to compete in DanceNZmade and perform at the KHS Dance Showcase (with opportunity for NCEA Dance assessments for seniors).
We also offer opportunities to attend professional dance company touring shows and dance workshops run by members of the dance companies!
Yr 10, 11, 12 Dance Troupe = meet Wednesdays after school
Jnr Dance = meet Thursday break times
Yr 13 Dance = meet Thursday after school
DanceNZmade Regional Competition 2025 = Solos, Duos & Trios = Sunday 20th July – Cashmere High School
KHS Dance Showcase = Thursday 20th August (Week 6, T3), hopefully with Rangiora High & local primary groups also participating.
