CONGRATULATIONS to the following students for their sporting achievements outside of school:
Waka Ama
Eva & Āria Te Whetu – Competed strongly at the Waka Ama Regatta at Lake Rotoiti – Tuna e hoa ana. Their team won the J19 Women’s W6 trophy (W6 1000m and 7.5km) and Eva also placed 2nd in the J16 W1 (2km) event.
MTB – Crankworx
Sophie Jolly – Placed 3rd in the U19 female enduro event
Cooper Jolly – Won the U19 male pre crankworx enduro
They both also competed in the Oceania Continental Downhill in some very challenging weather conditions against riders from Canada & Australia.
Athletics Canterbury Champs
Eshan Raja – Placed 2nd in the U18 Canterbury Champs for High Jump.
Lily Morrison – Placed 1st in 100m, 1st in 200m & 2nd in 400m at U18 Canterbury Champs.
