This week we celebrated Cultural Week alongside NZ Sign Language Week, with a variety of activities taking place throughout the school. Students enjoyed quizzes, games, cultural activities, and opportunities to learn more about the diverse cultures within our community.
Activities throughout the week:
- Monday: Flag Guessing Quiz
- Tuesday: National Anthem Quiz
- Wednesday: Chinese cultural activities with Ms Lau
- Thursday: Mau rākau Maui/Matau and Kī-o-Rahi activities, along with a Sign Language Tutor Time Quiz
- Friday: Cultural Dress Day and Cultural Food Celebration
It has been fantastic to see so many cultures proudly represented around the school. A highlight of the week was seeing students wearing cultural dress and displaying flags to celebrate and share their heritage with pride.
A huge shout-out to the Cultural Captains and Student Council for their hard work and dedication in organising the week’s activities. Your effort and enthusiasm helped make Cultural Week such a success!
