On Tuesday 9th June, we were excited to welcome the Buller High School Senior Boys Rugby Team to Kaiapoi High School for a special rugby exchange.
To formally welcome our visitors, a Mihi Whakatau was held at Te Kōhiko. This was followed by a shared dinner at the Kaiapoi Rugby Club, providing a great opportunity for players to connect, build friendships, and celebrate the spirit of the game.
On Wednesday 10th June, our Senior Boys Rugby team took on Buller High School’s Senior Boys Rugby Team in an exciting exchange match on Kaiapoi High School grounds – a special occasion as it marked the return to our home field after many years.
With a fantastic crowd on hand to support, the match was played in great spirit and provided plenty of exciting rugby. Buller High School came away with the win, 41–20, and our boys showed outstanding determination, resilience, and commitment from start to finish, making our school community proud.
A huge thank you to Buller High School for making the trip and being part of such a memorable day. We enjoyed hosting you and look forward to continuing this rugby tradition in the future.
