Wednesday 17th June marked the official opening of the China–New Zealand Friendship Garden.

We are honoured that Kaiapoi High School’s Friendship Tree was chosen as the very first tree planted in the garden, at the residence of the Chinese Consul General in Christchurch.

More than just a tree, it represents the friendship, mutual understanding, and strong educational ties between New Zealand and China. We look forward to watching it grow and flourish for many years to come.
