On Thursday 2nd July, ex-student Talula Green (currently in her 1st year of NASDA degree) joined Dance Club to practise our Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Hula, Autumn Ball Contemporary-Ballet solo, and see the dance she has choreographed for us for School Production, Hello Little Girl. She then taught us a self-choreographed Hip Hop Dance (to ‘Teams’ by Lorde) that she has been working on for her NASDA course. She will also join us for our Dance Showcase as a guest performer!
DanceNZmade Competition
We have four entries in the 2026 DanceNZmade Competition (solo, duo & trio dances) on Sunday 2nd August (the day after closing night of Production)!
Our competitors for 2026 are:
- Holly Langrish – Year 12 solo
- McKenzie Young – Year 12 solo
- Chloe Green & Saffron Carmody – Senior duo (yr11/13)
- Emma Wu & Vicky Tan – Senior duo (yr11/12)
They are all currently creating their own original choreographies for the competition, and to present at our KHS Dance Showcase in Term 3 (Thursday 10th September).
